Believing that opting for low-priced insurance is the optimal choice can be misleading. In many instances, if you find yourself paying exceptionally low rates that deviate significantly from the current market average, it often indicates minimal coverage.
Is Your Insurance Policy a Safety Net… or Does it Have Holes in it?
You pay your premiums year after year, picturing that comforting image: a sturdy safety net woven from clauses and coverage, catching you before life’s unexpected plummets. Insurance Advice
If you could give one tip to help people when shopping for insurance, what would that be?
Always have your agent break down and explain your policy coverages to understand what the product you are purchasing does for you.
What is the most common mistake you see people make when shopping for insurance?
The most common mistake I see is having the thought that low priced insurance is the only way to go. In most cases if you are paying extremely low rates that don’t look average to the current market, you have bare minimum coverages which in a situation where you needed your insurance to help, your policy will not be able to fully pay for your claim leaving you with the check.
What is your favorite type of insurance to work on? What is your specialty?
My favorite types are Home and Auto bundles. I like saving my clients money and making sure they are set up with policies that will protect them in a time of need.
What is the most common misconception people have about insurance that you’d like to set the record straight on?
Most of the time as consumers, we search for the cheapest prices or the best bang for our buck. For example, car insurance. >It’s something needed to legally drive on public roads and is commonly relied on when something unexpected happens. As a consumer your focus should not only be the price per-month, or the word of your agent claiming your policy has “FULL COVERAGE”.
State minimum limits in most cases will not cover all the damage or injuries and will leave whoever is at fault with a lifelong expense to pay back the people they have hurt.
The best way I can illustrate this, is would you rather pay $60 more a month on car insurance knowing that in most cases you won’t have to pay a penny more than what your policy coverages already have to offer? OR do you want to risk your life savings and work two jobs for the rest of your life because you thought paying less for auto insurance was saving you money with bare minimum coverages? Always have your agent break down your policy to understand what product you are purchasing and what it does for you.
